1-3pm・Thursday's Child Has Far to Go

with ophitheraven・"Thursday's Child Has Far To Go" is a KPOP-orientated radio show. The show plays Korean/English releases by both popular and lesser-known KPOP artists, so it's an opportunity for everyone to find some new songs or artists to follow!

Ophelia Raven (AKA ophitheraven) is a Thursday-born music lover from central Florida who uses they/she/he pronouns. They are currently majoring in English and minoring in creative writing and hope to receive a master's degree in creative writing in the future.

7-8:30pm・Loving Out Loud

with Jade・This radio show is designed to amplify and share queer voices through storytelling, raising awareness of the issues the community faces, and listening to queer music! This show is a collaboration with the Shenandoah LGBTQ Center and is being used to promote awareness to issues that can be considered sensitive; a content warning is advised.

Jade is a sophomore at MBU who is currently working with the Shenandoah LGBTQ Center in order to raise awareness of National LGBTQ Health Awareness Week. She is also a part of the LGBTQ Community and aims to spread positivity and awareness through this show.

5-6pm・Sounds of Protest

with Ranger McKinney・Hear the music of the protest! A program dedicated to song of protest and resistance from around the world. Hear the songs and the stories behind them as we explore different protest themes and famous folk and punk artist.

Ranger McKinney is a historian of radical moments, and revolution from around the world as well as a musician. Ranger is interested in how radical movements like the Civil Rights Movements in the US and Partisans of Europe expressed themselves through song as they fought for a better world.

8-10pm・asahidenpa

with ash・a show where i play a chaotic mix of whatever songs i like that pop into my little brain. the genres can vary from indie/alt rock, to vocaloid, to folk punk, experimental noise, whatever else piques my interest. (usually goes on break every third saturday of each month)

ash is the webmaster and founder of wmbu. they started wmbu in their dorm room at mbu as a single radio show, after listening to other college radio stations and being disgruntled that mbu did not have their own. alongside running the station ash enjoys drawing, sleeping, anime, hanging out with friends, taking walks, and of course listening to music.
